This toolkit focuses on strengthening Patient and Family Advisory Councils (PFACs) so they better reflect the communities hospitals and health systems serve. The toolkit addresses how to evaluate PFAC representativeness, support equitable recruitment, create a sense of belonging, and engage PFAs as partners in health equity. It includes a PFAC assessment to identify strengths and areas of opportunities, an action plan for improvement, promising practices and examples, and practical tools to support meaningful patient and family partnerships.

IPFCC Launches Search for President & CEO
The IPFCC Board is excited to open the search for a strategic, passionate, and visionary leader to serve as President & CEO of IPFCC and build on the excellent work of the last 34 years and provide leadership for the future.
The new IPFCC President/CEO will guide long-term strategy development to expand the impact of IPFCC’s work, lead national and international business development activities, develop partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders, and oversee organizational efforts to advance the science and practice of patient- and family-centered care (PFCC).
Bev Johnson will continue to provide consulting and training and technical assistance. She will assist with making this a smooth and supportive transition for the new leader and the organization.
